I have always been fascinated by the process of imagination and creativity.
Ever since I could remember, I have tried to find a way to truly express myself -
to go beyond what mere words can articulate, and to liberate my soul from the
limits of what alphabets alone can convey. After all, our emotions - however
subtle they may be at times - are far too dynamic and rich to just settle with words...
As the old saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words".
Yes, to me, art is my way to say to others my personal thoughts...I hope you will
enjoy my pictures, as well as entertain your own creative thoughts...
Hello, it’s a little bit late in the introduction but my name is Ado Ceric.
I have been creating art for many years. Like most people, I began with
watercolors and oil paintings - a traditional intro path that most artists can relate to.
But since I have embarked on digital creation (computer graphics), my artworks began to
evolve to something bigger than before - as if I have more ways to express myself.
What I try is to capture the essence of my thoughts and dreams - especially the latter.
I do get inspired by things others might consider mundane: take, for example,
colors of fallen leaves on a solemn autumn morning, or the shapes of clouds over a vast cityscape.
I always believed that it’s important to, "take the time to smell the roses..."
Life has so much to offer to our senses; let’s not ignore it!
Like other artists, I get many of my inspirations from movies, music, and books.
I truly respect the works of filmmakers such as David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick,
Darren Arronofsky, Terry Gilliam, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Tim Burton... just to name a few.
My favorite musicians - each of them who help inspire me with their beautiful music -
are Cocteau Twins, Calexico, Coil, Julee Cruise, Kate Bush, and others -
I have too many artists that I like, but the list would be too long for this page!
And of course I love the literally works of J.R.R. Tolkien, Merwyn Peake,
Frank Herbert, Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Sexton, William Gibson, Neil Gaiman...
too many to name. (There I go again with lists of inspirational people!)
I hope you enjoy my site - I worked hard on each of my artworks. But more
importantly, I hope I can somehow inspire you with my art. There is no
feeling greater for me, than to see my work was able to leave an impression
on someone.
So browse around, and enjoy the show! Thanks, and see you around!
